So I just picked up a JBJ rimless 30 gallon tank (24" X 16" X 14") and which light should I get from Reefbreeders.com?

Should I go with the <span style="font-family: Century Gothic;"><span style="font-size: 12px;">120 watt Bridgelux Value LED Fixture for $179.00
or

or

I plan on have a small reef with stuff like hammers, torch, zoas and a RBTA.

Also which optics should I get?

Go with one of the 16 inch fixtures. Only question is if you want manual or auto dimming. I would go 120 on a tank with that depth.

Thank you for your advise! Guess I just have to figure out if the auto dimming is worth 150.00 to me. It says on their website that it may take a few weeks for shipping in general is that a true statement for people that have ordered from them?

Completely worth it to me....One less thing to mess with. Shipping will be dependent on if he has them in his possession or if he's waiting on them to arrive.

yea auto dimming is totally worth it. its the difference between mimicking sunrise and sunset and just a straight on and off feature. and with auto dimming you can have a much longer light cycle. i run mine 16 hours a day and dont get any bleaching. where as with a light that just turns on and off you cant do that unless you plan on being there all day and dimming it yourself lol

Have you seen the Nova A4 from Reefbreeders? Logan said it is made for lighting a cube. I have one over my 60 cube and I love it. Totally programmable. It has a nice compact design but, you don't lose any light wattage. A little cheaper than the Photon.

Thanks everyone I decided on the <span style="font-family: Century Gothic"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: Century Gothic"><span style="font-size: 12px">Photon16 with 120 optics.
</span></span></span></span>

FYI, Photon 16 has 55x3W, Photon 24 has 51x3W. So you get more even it's $10 cheaper.
I went with Photon 32 vs. 48 since it's 99x3W to 102x3W. $50.00 difference.
If I had longer tank, I would have gone with 48 to get better spray of lights though.

^^^All their fixtures are silly over powered. You're not missing anything with 4 less led's

I would do a single 32. Maybe 2 16s if there's a center brace. The coverage is greater than the size of the light

Not sure if that be good idea.
You be paying $640 for two units compare to $500 for 48.

Edit: Actually it's $660 for two units. As above mentioned one 32 should be more than enough. I use 32 on my 120 and I am having great polyp extensions on all my SPS's. &lt;

There is a center brace. Can they be pigtailed and hung inside the canopy? I was thinking I needed 48" of coverage. So 2 16's would be plenty of light..great news

Edit:

I have a center brace it would be in the way I'll look at 2 16's. I did not realize that would be enough. Buy the way I'm thinking reefbreeders.

I think two 16 would be perfectly fine.
It also depends on your aquascape and coral placement.
I have center brace and dont bother me much. You might need to drill more holes to hang two unit. Maybe. :)

There is a extra socket on the top. I think it's for syncing 2 units together, but don't quote me on that. Really don't think brace would be an issue though.
