i got a bit of cash for christmas so im going to look for a controller/monitor for my tank. it will go on my 5.5g in my office but eventually transfer to my 25g. im looking at RKL and Apex JR. so far im thinking the apex jr since i can monitor the tank while im not in the office. i just want to be able to monitor my tank easily and control my temp easier since it is a small tank. which do you guys recommend

I have a rke, but if I bought again definitly apex. I would be willing to bet digital aquatics won't be around much longer

+1. I have an RKE and have been thinking hard about getting rid of it for an Apex.

Alc module doesn't really work with meanwell led drivers. Salinity probe hasn't existed for a year. Net module is a pita, and doesn't even have a vortech controller, no plans on producing one either. They are "focusing" on the salinity probe.

Love my Apex. If you can get by with only 4 controlled outlets, the jr is a great start. If you need more than 4 or want to monitor/control pH, or want switch inputs, I would suggest starting with Apex lite. If you think you will want to control Tunze controllable pumps, or 2 pH or ORP ports, get the full blown Apex.

I love my Apex. It is so expandable; I just bought AI Sol LED's and there is an APEX module that will control the % of White/Blue lights. Very excited.

However, my wife thought I went overboard when I hooked up Christmas lights to the controller. LOL.

Women just don't get it do they. :lol2:

I like my 3 RKE they are easy to use. I also have 2 RKL and they are easy also. If you are looking for simple things to control get the RKL they are $120.00 They can control I think up to 4 different modules. So for a cheap price it is very expandable.

You won't regret it. I've loved mine.

And I hooked my Christmas tree lights up to the Apex too. My wife though thought it was a great idea!
