So I am sick of buying water and decided to spend the money and get a unit. I have been looking at these two units on ebay. Which one is better and should i get the drinking water version.
Thanks

I have the WaterGeneral 6 Stage and I love it. I haven't delt with the other company to compare but I know several reefer's have the WG and find it to be a excellent product!

I personally have the same one as the first link but with clear housings. The water general unit is very niec IMO. Good thing you posted that link, I need to get the garden hose adapter ;) FWIW, I'd buy the water general unit again if something happened to my current one.

this is exactly mine.

I used mine at my loft, but since my house has a water system I don't use it. But it was nice to have RO water for the coffee in the mornings!

I heard RO water isnt good to drink this is why I am getting confused I suppose. But you can use in coffee? Dishes? etc....

Roger that....RO is great for drinking...pure water. Yes it doesn't have all those yummy addatives like flourine and antibacterials that we love so much, but it sure can brew a great cup-a-joe!

ziad i had a thread on this it is di water you cant drink cause you can go into septic shock but if you bypass the di and just go threw the ro part youll be fine .note if you get a rodi that had a taste crisper you will want to bypass that when you make water for your tank cause youllbe adding impurities back into the water best bet is to get a tds meter and run test on which is the purest but yes can drink ro just not di

The Water General RO/DI 6 Stage has a RO output for drinking (goes to pressure tank) and DI that can be fed to a water storage container. Works like a champ!

I have the first one you listed and it works great! 0 tds. Just buy the first one

Also if you have a float valve in your resevoir , it will automatically shutoff when full - but i guess they all do that LOL

Thanks everyone I went with the first one listed and I guess the extra $10 for RO water is worth it.

Since I dont have a TDS meter does anyone have one they wanna sell cheap...not really trying to spend $40 on one...or is there another way to check if the water is at 0 ppm
