white haze on glass

Drool is easy to get cleaned up, just use some warm water.

No really is it on the out side of the tank? And could it be salt left over from wiping the glass off? If it is inside tank it could be calcium levels way to high?

Haha I wish it was on the outside! I got the tank from a guy and it had water in it for some time and left a white haze, from where the water set. I heard or using a very very find pad may work.

In all seriousness I wonder if a CLR solution would take it off, followed by a bleach bath, let it dry, and then a fresh water bath...

Does vinegar do anything to it? I'd try that first. If not, then I'd probably go the bleach route.

I tried clr before I set it up, no it didn't work

Mr.Eraser? :confused2:

Sounds like an etched mineral stain and will be next to impossile to remove.

If its etched it won't come off.. Try a combo of vinegar and Mr.Clean Magic Erasers.. If those won't work.. Mueratic(sp) acid might..

I bought a "craigslist special" 55g bow that had the white haze, I tried vinegar and a razorblade, scrubbies etc...I got a little off but most of it came right back..sold it 3 months later and actually made money on it
