Do any ARCers run a Zeovit type system? I know there are several systems out there: Zeovit, Fauna Marin, Brightwell.

If anyone here is a Baller, could you plesase post your experiences with the method?

Any links for a Primer on how a ULNS system works or is implemented would be appreciated as well.

probably not what you are looking for, but vodka (or VSV) is similar in theory.

What is the rationale behind vodka dosing, Ralph?

vodka (or similar) used as a carbon source to feed bacteria which in turn, eat nitrates & some phosphates. Skim it out.

low nutrient system.

Im about two weeks into MB7 and vodka dosing. I plan on posting a review after a couple months. Ive never had terrible algae issues, just trying to get max health out of sps. I hear this is a way to knock out a extra phosphate

I've tried a few different methods:

I'm trying the neozeo (brightwell) method now. Started 3/3/10 and my nitrates started at 10 and now at 1 (tested last wednesday) on an elos test kit. I've been pleased so far, easy to use, cost effective, especially if you have an extra reactor lying around.

Vodka dosing works well also, but you have to stay on top of it every day or you have to start over. I go out of town every month or so, and this method didn't suite me. It works, but very sensitive, gotta take things really slow.

I tried the vodka tablets (biopelets), no drop in nitrates at all and they seemed to fall apart for me at week 3. Very disappointed in this.

I dose 2-part and run NP Biopellets in a TLF Reactor....the pellets tumble and the bacteria is visable and parameters are stable. I did not want to get into dosing vodka, so the pellets seemed the best option for me. I am switching from TLF part A & B and moving to BRS in a week or so.
