Why is my elegance doing this?

My elegance has been doing alot of bubbling up lately almost doubling in size sometimes like a baloon. Is it digesting, getting rid of waste or is this a bad thing. Any ideas if this is normal or not? The tentacles draw up to noting almpst like a neon line seperating the outline of the different heads at times & then they will fully extend again.

Means that it is getting happy. They will do water changes fairly often as well though.

Heck, that looks great IMHO. From the last couple months of having mine, I've watched it inflate/extend/deflate/shrink back/rebound. It's about as finicky as an anemone, but eats very well and seems generally happy so I'm not complaining.

I believe you are right since he looks completely happy today. I think there are two more heads growing underneath which I just found this morning. Lord I wonder how big this thing is going to get? Its already doubled in size

I've never seen mine do much of anything when it's open during the day...only at night will it shrink up. IMO, you may want to move it to the sand, rock can be irritating to the corals soft underside tissue.
