I have an established tank. MM leds , good water parameters. But.

I have a Holywood Stunner, War coral, Garf Bonsai , Superman monti, Meteor Shower that all look washed out in color.

The Superman was a deep blue and red, but in a few weeks its now turned very very lite blue and red???? Blue just washed right out.

All are about mid way down in the tank, and all other corals (acro's) are just fine and holding their color.

Forget i said i think everything is ok.. What would cause this?????

would need to know more about parems and systems, is this an ULNS like Zeo? Carbon Dosing?

my guess is it's the lights aren't enough par for acro......

i think the superman monti probably needs more light most montis ive had show their best colors in high light areas

i lost virtually all my SPS color when I switched from T5s to LEDs (eshine and MM boxes)...

I have AI SOL Blues and saw a big color shift compared to when I had MH. Some good ..some bad. If it was not for the heat issues I would use MH's.

did you do a light switch? Or always under the same light? If you switched lights and noticed the change in corals, you most likely shocked them. Always acclimate corals to light changes...few hrs for the first couple days and slowly increase light time over a few weeks.

lighting changes will pretty much ALWAYS affect coral colors. To what degree & for how long depends on many things.

With the MM LEDs, do you have optics, what are the dimensions of the tank, how high are the lights, and what intensity are you running them at?
