wiring ic660 4x48

i think i have a bad bulb. three lights come on for a sec, but then go off. i wired it according to http://www.icecapinc.com/completed%20manual.pdf">http://www.icecapinc.com/completed%20manual.pdf</a>
the only thing i did diff was i had my bulbs staggered (it's a 6' tank)so the wires wouldnt reach as pictured. brown is still connected to red and yellow on the correct sides, and purple is still on blue and orange. they are just alternated compared to the pic. any other way to try it, or am i needing a new bulb?? it looks like this

it has 4 48" t5s

Make sure all the wires are secure. If any are loose the ballast will turn back off. Hope that helps

the little cap on the end of the non working bulb seems loose. i think that is whats wrong..anyone else have this prob?

Try switching the bulbs. If the "non" bulb fires for a sec then it's wiring. No the end caps should be tight

it's the cap with the 2 prongs on the actual light, not the white ic harness waterproof endcap thats loose

As Alan mentioned, you need to make sure that EVERY connection is secure. Here's some additional info that will help you identify where the problem might be:

I have had the same issue with the 430s and VHOs. Make sure every connectiong is secure.

it was the bulb. i'm good to go now. although the new bulb is a lot brighter.
