Wish me luck but advice would be more appreciated

Had that happen to me 1 time. I was trying to does Alk in my water change water before putting it in the tank. Not sure if it was cal or something else that precipitated out. I would run a full batch o tests before moving livestock in if I were in your shoes.

Plan on it. I've already mentally moved my inhabitants out from today to Tuesday. I have a firm, although not hard, date of Friday to have the tank torn down.

Quick update. All fish, coral and inverts relocated. All seem to be doing fine ( premature) with exception to my candy cane that took a bump on the head from a falling rock (oops). It will survive although a couple heads are beat up.

It took 2 days for my salt to clear in the tank Ugghh and 3x as long as I expected to make my RODI water due to a drop from 75 to 35 psi.

Between the tank, the new house and getting the old house ready for renters it has been around the clock since the closing on Friday. It took at least 2x more time on the tank than anticipated.

Sorry, no pics yet, but trust me it happened :)

Thanks for all the advice. Especially grateful for the suggestion to get the fish moved as soon as the rocks come out and the advice on properly setting up my gfi.

Also thanks to all that offered to help. I've got a buddy coming to help me move the old tank this afternoon and the heavy lifting should all be done.

On a hydrometer or refractometer?

Refractometer. The amount of salt needed was less than my calculation.

Dropped off the face of the planet for a couple months but wanted to let everyone know after a month of corals adjusting poorly they started coming back a few weeks ago. I haven't spent as much time on the tank as I'd like but found enough time last week to order a Reef Breeder's Photon 48 (90 degree ) and get it hung. Very please so far but it's only been up for approximately 24 hours now.

I was getting ready to send out a search party for you. :-) thought maybe after the move to the new digs momma did you in or something.

I am going on a cruise.....on my lawnmower around my yard.

Still alive and kicking. Any suggestions for acclimating things with the LED's? I'm using the default Reef Breeders ( 30 minute ) program which provides for a maximum 30% on both channels during midday and ramps up and down on 30 minute increments. I'm hoping to wade into it and adjust slowly as I see everything is responding well.

My first thought was " Oh no, they killed Kenny...You b*stards!"

If it was anything like my last move you should be safe for a little while.... the honey do list is to long for one person to by themselves
:-)

Congrats on the move and new tank.
