Apparently, my "maidens hair" udotea sp. spawned last night. Skimmer overflowing, green crap all over sump, and I couldn't see the other side of tank.

I guess it didn't like me pulling out some of that crap last night. I just did a water change yesterday, so I made up some water this morning for tonite.

Unfortunately, I'm at work. I changed carbon, gfo, got skimmer going, blah, blah.

I think my 4 year old urchin bit it. So far my clowns, Christmas wrasse, shrimp, snails, hermits, all are good. I don't know about my other wrasses as they don't get up until 10:30 to 11:00.

All my coral look pissed, but only my orange crush acan slimed. All others just have their polyps retracted. No bleaching.

Huge bacterial bloom. I guess I need to be more agressive in getting rid of this calcifying algae. It's leftover from my pipes.

I might need to nuke it with glue, change out rock(what about encrusted sps?), or nuke with Daves formula or kalk. I'll pull what I can. Hummmm.

I hope all is good at home, but the wifey isn't so reef friendly, lol.

Just talked to the wife, clearing up some....both potters and MM Leopards up and about. Cool.

Maiden's Hair is in the Caulerpa family, Udotea is:

So, which is it?

Here's what it looks like:

Those grey and white "sticks" were all out yesterday, so I kinda expected it soon.

all is clear, even the Urchin made it.

Only issues are that a Blue Voodoo stag has somewhat bleached (and the Garf is a little lighter) and the blue millie doesn't have it's polyps extended..............whew!
stressful, though!

:yay:

I changed out 22 pounds of fiji rock with 12 pounds of dead fiji.....changing some rocks out is easier than I thought. :-)
