Wow! Rod's Food!

Bought some Rod's Food today and dropped a pinch in the tank. EVERYTHING in the tank went crazy -- clownfish, snails, hermits, creatures I've never seen before (more on that later) -- even the frogspawn grabbed a big bite and crammed it into its mouth. It was crazy.

Rod's has been around for a long time. Fish love it. $22 for an 8 0z. flat pack. Too expensive as a daily feed, IMO, except maybe a small reef system. Occaisional treat, no prob.

Yeah, I could see it easily</em> become cost-prohibitive. With just a 11.4g tank and not feeding Rod's every day, though, it looks like a single pack will last me a few months. I'm definitely going to mix it up.

there are two types - I buy the fish only type and it costs $13 vs $20. everything in the tank loves it, esp since a pinch goes a long way.

I feed Rods, but use very little bits of it while primarily feeding mysis & cyclopeeze (and now OVO mid-day)

I have the original mix for my Nuvo 8. A little goes a long way for me lol My 1 firefish goes crazy, my peppermint shrimp does an olympic jump from one side of the tank to the other(SERIOUSLY) and my Acan loves it too


<span style="font-size: 14px">SIDE NOTE: I have a pack of Rods predator mix that I picked up on mistake and its been sitting in my freezer. It will never be used. The chunks of food in it are way too big for my small critters and fish. Somebody come pick it up and use it lol. PM me</span>
