I've been running my wp-40 since the end of May and just noticed yesterday that is stopped working.

I powered it off and turned it back on and it spun for a second then stopped again. Now when powering off and on the prop twitches and never starts up.

Any one have issues with there pumps yet.

Also i did pull it out and cleaned it thoroughly.

There is a thread over on RC about the longevity of these pumps. Most people have been saying they have had issues after 3-6 months. Some people saying reduction in gph by as much as half.

Wow... I thought I noticed that it wasn't pushing as much water. I figured I was just use to seeing it run. Thnx for the info.

I have 2 wp25's and I started to hear a high pitched whine from one of them. I cleaned it up and took it over to Jeff to see if he could figure it out. Its worked perfectly after cleaning it. I have a feeling it had a grain of sand in it as Jeff pointed out.

Pull the impeller and clean it out good. Ecm motors have very low start torque.
Had to do mine last weekend

It may need to be reset too. I had one that would run for few seconds and quit. I reset following directions from manual and it seem to fix it. The vinegar bath will help also, if there is some coraline build or gunk keeping it from running properly.

Gave it a soak and it cranked back up full speed. I guess I just gotta keep an eye on the build up in this thing.

Great advice and help as usual thanks everyone!

The impellers have fairly tight tolerances so the least little thing will diminish output. Mine have been running non-stop since June without an issue but I use a basting bulb to clean mine about once every couple of weeks.
