Cleaned one of the 28's well to transfer it to a buddy's house and left the skimmer going. That was yesterday and I thought I might need to empty it after the cleaning (this Deltec MCE-300 goes nuts after a tank cleaning) and pulled this out of the chamber. What the heck???

This is not Photoshopped and the flash killed the color. It's REALLY red.

Feed Cyclopeeze or anything with lots of beta carotene or astaxanthin in it?

Jenn

Tank has a clown, cleaner shrimp, and several other verts that are pefectly happy. Scrubbed alot of coraline so I guess it got skimmed out. A little freaky to pull something like that out though. All the residue looks green and normal though....weird.

Nope, only PE Mysis, squid, bloodworms, and spirulina. Same things I've fed it for a year. Minimal amounts too with only 1 fish.

How much coraline did you scrape? When I clean the coraline off my pump, etc, it has a very orangish color to it.

looks to me like someone was wanting to be a little generous and festive with the fishies on New Years...lol

A good bit. I have been neglecting one side that isn't viewable but since it's going to another home I was giving it the royal treatment:D It was pretty covered in coraline for sure. I'd say about 50% had coraline on it and it's roughly an 18"x18" pane.
