I love the way Xenia looks, but it grows too fast in my tank and I don't like having to rip it out because of the mucus it releases. I have been experimenting with a really simple solution that seems to be working. I have my Xenia on a shelf rock in my tank and I've just placed pieces of flat rock on the shelf so it still looks natural. As the Xenia spreads its just onto other rock and makes easy ready made frags. Just replace the loose rock with a spare. At most you have to cut a branch where they interconnect. Still have plenty of rogue colonies but at least the main one is easier to manage now.
