XM 10k or 20k MH

So what do ya'll think? I'm debating whither to get the xm 10k or 20k for a 400 watt Metal Halide M59 moguel ballest. I'm using it on an sps tank and I want to get the best color and then the best growth that I can get. Thanks.

best growth will be from the 10k. the 20k will give you a more blue look.

You can always add some vho for colour supplementaion?

20ks are prettier IMO, but 10ks cause amazing growth they are awfully white though. With 400s you will have pretty good PAR with 20ks and more than enough to grow SPS well. Still if you want to see your growth rates climb fast stick with the 10ks

Thanks everyone. I'm just not sure. I do have actinic T-5s to, so should I go with the 10 k to balance it out. huh It is a ruff one.

If you have the T-5's already, go with the 10k's to get the accelerated growth. Supplement with the T5 for the colour.

VHO is better for supplements though.

The 10ks will kill the T5 coloring. I have 250w and you could not see my T5s running when I was using XM 10ks.

I've I was running 400 watt lights and has an SPS it would be 20K Radiums all the way.
