Recently I enjoyed watching the relationship between a Yasha Goby and a Pistol Shrimp in one of the sponsors tanks. I thought their symbiotic relationship was fascinating. So I purchased a Yasha Goby and a Tiger Pistol Shrimp. They are doing well, but they do not pay each other any attention at all. Does the Yasha Goby prefer a different shrimp? Does anyone have any ideas about how to encourage the fascinating relationship to take place in my tank??

yes, you'll need this one:

(no guaraentees, of course.....just more likely....well, very likely)

you can get this for your current shrimp (or very many other choices)

Here's a decent article on the subject:

A couple things to keep in mind: Certain gobies prefer a certain type of pistol shrimp, so you need to be sure you have the right one, and just because you may have the right types does not guarantee they will pair up. Good luck, though. The goby/pistol pair is my absolute favorite addition in any reef tank.
