Okay,
This time it bit me in the a$$ - I have something I believe to be red bugs - but they're yellow, some do have a red spot on one side.
Does that make them redbugs?

Interceptor the only treatment?

Let me know what/how is should proceed.

Robb

Red Bugs are yellow with a red head.

Yes Inteceptor works best for a tank treatment. It will kill shrimp and hermit crabs though.

What do these bugs actually do that makes them a nuisance?
Eat the flesh?

Yes, they will eat the flesh, Its actually pretty hard for them to kill a healthy coral.

Closest example I think is think of redbugs like fleas on a dog. An annoyance, but rarely fatal. One Interceptor treatment can take care of it if you do it properly.

Interseptor work great. If your outbreak is biad you will notice your sps polyps will not fully extend off your corals and you will lose some color. Maybe eventually start dying.

When did you realize you had 'em Robb? The frags i got from you on Saturday look fine. Even on close inspection I don't see any bugs on them.
