Yellow watchman goby and engineer goby divorced

For the last six months or so, my yellow watchman goby and my engineer goby shared a hole. They would sit right on top of each other but now the yellow watchman goby chased the engineer out and won't let him get close so he moved under a different rock. Odd how fish relationships change.

Not to belabor this, but I think it is funny that the YWG kicked the EG out so he moved under a different rock and now the YWG joined him.....hum....sounds familiar.

I had two foot long engineer gobys that were best friends. Took the tank apart to QT all fish for ich where they shared a PVC pipe for months. When they went back in the tank the larger one killed the smaller one for trying to get back into their old hole.

Never seen an engineer goby be aggressive to anything before or since.

That is interesting. My EG is very timid and it was the YWG that chased it off.
