I have a pair of yellow watchmen gobys. They both stay next to each other most all the time. About a week ago, one of them turned almost a pail white with faint black stripes. Still seems very healthy and happy. Any ideas on why the change and what it means?

I bought 1 that was white with faint gray stripes, took about 3 months for him to turn yellow again, I think he was stressed out.

My female has started to turn that color. The male is still bright yellow. Maybe you have a pair.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Did yours stay hat color?

I had a female that looked like the one on the right. When I first got her she looked like yours and darkened as she grew.

The color change was gradual for mine. It looks like she is getting darker and I'll bet she'll stay that color. I really just noticed the difference. There's a recent pic on my blog and I'll try to post a current one tomorrow.

I would attest the white to yellow change to stress. I bet if you net a gobie it will bleach out in a hurry. I posted some pics of mine on my blog.
