What's your most "interesting" coral? It doesn't have to be rare, expensive, or even pretty... Just... Interesting.

Right now this is mine, because I haven't actually seen another like it.

It's an orange cap with a green stripe through it.

Interesting? I think so;)

Grafted Cap
That's what Tyree called it...

Mine is an Acropora with a VERY unusual grow pattern, it looks like one of those flat cactus' in the desert.
I'd post a pic, but I just burnt its tips due to an Alk swing...

It is a rock..........................but the rock has some kind of coral that has grown over it. It is neon green with yellow centers, but i put it in aa tank with not enough light and it died back. It is starting to grow back now and that makes me happy. Wish i knew what it was

Mine is interesting not because of what it is, but what it survived.
I bought my 90g system still filled, tore it down and brought it home. It had had heaters in it, but no flow to speak of for some time, along with no light at all.

Once I had it up, one of the pieces of LR had a 1" "spot" of something that was ghost white and glossy... looked like someone had painted with gloss enamel.
Probably three months after the system was up, it started to slowly turn green. Pretty soon it was the brightest green in the tank. Now that it has had a year + to grow, it is very obviously Psammacora and has tripled in size. It has grown to meet my Superman Montipora, and I'm interested to see which will win the turf war.

I'm just amazed that it was THAT "dead" and managed to come back.

Had a mushroom detach from the main rock a couple of weeks ago. After it floated around for a while it ended up attached to one of my fighting conchs. I'm hoping it will stay alive on his shell as it is really funny to see him moving around with it...
