Zeovit Tanks

Anyone locally run the reactors and additives that wouldnt mind me asking a few questions and coming to see your set up? Pics would be nice as well

Have PATIENCE. If your tank is established it will take a year or 8 months to start seeing changes. It's expensive to do right and requires a LOT of testing / trial and error. Don't shortcut the stuff or you'll pay

Not really, but this was my tank during that time. That being said I'm maintaining something similar now without it...

Here is a general guide to the ZeoVit system. You can have a beautiful tank with Zeo, but you have to be able to commit to a pretty strict schedule of dosing of additives, media changeouts, reactor shaking etc. Snowman also said it was expensive, and it is.

I thought about doing it, but decided I was too lazy to keep the regimen up.

The zeovit forum is also VERY helpful.. those mods always tried to help with any questions I had.

The price is pricey to start I know, but is it pricey to sustain. Let's just say I am lazy, can I automate everything and just change out media or will I have to dose myself?

It is expensive to maintain. There isn't JUST the zeobak, but there are another 5-6 supplements you'll need to keep up with if you're going to do it right. Not to mention the zeo stones are actually hard to find sometimeS

you can do it getting dosing pump and a auto reactor...thats how alot of ppl do it now

I don't think it is just about automation. Snowman would probably know better, but you have to be very observant with the Zeo system to gauge how your corals are reacting to the various additives.

Sounds like everyone is trying to discourage you, but it is not like dosing 2 part, put everything on a pump and you have a Zeo tank. It is much more involved than that, I suspect.

You have to be really involved with your tank using the Zeovit system, close observation plus the required regimen.

Just good to know what you are getting into. As I said, I knew I wouldn't keep up with it, so I did not try it.

Although it's not a ZeoVit primer, I think it says alot about success in general from someone who has tried ZeoVit before . If you decide on ZeoVit, please school me first.

He doesn't really say or for sake of discussion, was he using ZeoVit on this system? Another issue features Flemish hobbyist Rik Aarts using ZeoVit, you can perhaps look up pictures if you want for comparison.

Not trying to discourage you... Honestly it was fun to do, but as acro says there is a lot of long term observation and testing involved. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with giving it a shot
