I found a guy selling 90g for fairly cheap (relative) BNIB.

Anything problems or concerns about these systems I should know upfront before buying?

Nothing bad per se, but they are acrylic, so they are prone to scratching. They need to be perfectly level to look good, meaning they should have water spilling over all 4 sides equally, and lastly, you would not be able to cover them, so know that you can lose fish to jumping, as you can with any open top type tank.

Creation Reef has a couple large Zero Edge type tanks they use for their coral sales tanks, if you want to se how it would look/work in person. I think someone there told me they had them built, but that they are not Zero Edge brand.

Evaporation is another big issue - the surface are compared to overall volume is massive!

Creation Reef (as mentioned above) is listed as an authorized dealer on the Zero Edge site so I'm sure they could answer questions.

cool tanks... last MANCA I went too ORA used them for displays. Had them down low so you could look down on clams.. very cool

I don't think "falling waters" too much an issue. The tanks are designed to have the water adhere to the panes.

Personally owning a rimless tank, if i had to do over it again i prob wouldnt. Its just a mess as ive had more fish jump out of this tank than any of the previous ones ive owned. Also, i always have water coming over the tank and im afraid one day its going to short my vortechs.

I hate them. It's bad enough when you have to clean the inside of your tank, but now you have to scrape the OUTSIDE too? No thank you!

It's cool to see someone else's zero edge tank, but I would never own one.

I was thinking of asking opinions on this. It's a 90 thats 22'' tall, if placed towards the bottom with BB I think I could get them in. However with fish being my favorite part of the reef I'm not to sure I'll like losing fish on a constant basis. It would seem these tanks are coral only applications.

you could get a sort of glass screen, kinda like egg crate, that you could submerege 1cm in the water so it would not be very visible.

Are you sure you mean "zero edge" or are you referring to rimless?

No chance to get a vortech on a zero edge...

No probably about it. The vortices drysides need to stay...well, dry. And on a zero edge, there is no dry surface. Vortechs can't be used on them.
