Zoa frag turning black not opening

I have led lights. The frag seemed to being doing ok then it's mat turned black and never opened again. You think I burned them? They where sitting pretty high in tank. I blew as much of the black stuff off and put it on the sand better just to watch it get blacker. So burned them or something else?

It is quite common for corals to get burned by LED lighting. Start slow with 50% powerand work your ay up including duration of time. LED lighting is very potent. I can only guess that this is the cause without actually seeing it or being there, hopefully it will survive.

I dont have any pics. The black was like a black ash. Blew it off bit with no luck. Just wanted to make sure it couldnt be anyting else. Everything else is doing fine and even zoas that are sitting high up.

Turning black in my expirence is the start of them melting. I would get then in a coralRX dip ASAP. Hopefully you can save them.
