Zoa problem

I have some wammen watermelon zoas that i cant seem to get the placement right in my tank. I was wondering if anybody could help me out with placement. The tank is 25" tall and and i have a 175 watt Mh light and to dual actinic PC lights. Thanks for the help.

What do you mean can't get good placement? I have some watermellon zoas on the sandbed in my 90 and they're fine under my 175's.

I have mine about 4-5" off of the sand bed. I have a 180 under MH 250's.

My WW's are all the way near the sand.

sorry what i mean is that for some reason they are not happy werever they are in the tank wether it be on the sand bed or at the top or anywere in between. they just will not open up for me when every other zoa is doing great.. Also thanks for the help guys.

set them on the bottom and leave them for 3 or 4 days. then try a different location for 3 or 4 days and so on. you might just be handling them to much.

I have tried that but at this point i am willing to do anything.

the last ones i added to my tank took almost two weeks to open.
now they are thriving like crazy. they just did it in their own time.
