These are my first Zoas in my Tank. Is this normal? The one in the middle was spitting out a line of black stuff.

Yep. @seand is on point but I always like to see another member or two respond when I have a question just in case Sean doesn't really know what he's talking about. Well, in this case he's got it right and it's totally normal. In my experience you'll see it more often when they're fairly new to a tank but that might only be because when a person adds something new, they tend to check in on it frequently.
