zoa question.

congrats on that.
i have a 120 and a frag tank that need plumbing.
the frag tank was a donation to the
"get rick a reef life" from lil rob
and the 120 will be paid off this meeting.
so i'll feel more comfortable about going ahead
and setting it up.

i'd help plumb it.. i seem to have gotten good at it lol but ur in Roswell and I am in Conyers, plus i think i am working again this weekend but if not i may come if you want me too

thank you for the offers.
im getting help from kayakATL and hackman on this.
i should be in good hands. it just a matter of having
the time to set down and design the plumbing.
im going shopping at homedepot and andyman's
garage. i should find everything i need right there.
im just excited things are finally coming together.

Why go to home depot? Andy has everything.. thats a one stop shopping place lol Andy is awesome!

Ok Rick, here ya go

The 3rd are a little pissed still from the move but you can physically count the zoas still.. the first show that the frag square things is completely covered now...

The 2nd i just felt like sharring with ya and everyone else cuz of the wierd morph that is in the middle of the pack.. they were not there when i originally purchased from Tiff at Blue Planet

i agree completely! the aquavitro line has proven to be amazing! great growth and color!

kirru - on the first pic taken on 2.25.10, what are to zoas at the bottom? I have heard them called many things - i bought one head from Rit a while back now its like 5 heads and growing like CRAZY!! i am going to try to frag a head tonight to see how it goes.

I am thinking a morph rock coming soon - whatever you say that one is above plus eagle eye, atomic orange, atomic green, eye of jupiter, and rainbow izzy all on one rock - one head of each and see what happens!!

Aquavitro Salinity (i all it AVS) and Fuel, along with 2 feedings per week has been giving me tremendous and very quick growth, same with my cyphastrea...

Mm, I believe they were sold to me as mint green palys.. they were on a shell with my Armor of God zoas

haha you think that is crazy.. some of my zoas literally have star shapes in them.. some are in a pile of zoas that look exactly the same.. unless you start to look closer. then i got all kinds of random things.. i love it

im confused - the ones at the bottom in the first pic - the ones with the pinkish neon rings are what im talking about? i have heard them called armor of gods before

oh ok.. i see, yea, those are my armor of god zoas.. lol to many pics lol

ok good - at least the 2 of us agree on what they are!! i have seen a couple different names associated with them on other sites.

here is a pic of my atomic green/eagle eye colony that looks like it morphed a couple heads - dont know if it is just my lighting or an actaul morph but its cool..

Seriously though.
From their respected sites...

- Fuel is for carbohydrate, vitamin, amino acid, polyunsaturated fatty acid, and trace element;

- Ions for magnesium is used in the calcification of skeletons of reef organisms;

- 8.4 for... well i guess that is kind of explanatory; and

- Kent Tech I (from their site) "KENT MARINE TECH I is chelated to slowly release free iodide, and time released iodide for sustained availability to invertebrates. Assists hard corals and helps prevent bleaching of corals due to changes in light intensity."

I use the Tech I mainly for my nem and inverts and the zoas and softies benefit highly from it. Tiff and Blue Planet showed me this.. she said if I was disappointed with it I could return it... well needless to say I wasn't and I will be there tomorrow getting the biggest bottle she has :D

Also, I have noticed a signifigant improvement to L/SPS growth and polyp extension; and i also believe it helped my nem come back from a slight bleaching when I first bought as it has only been a few months and has gotten extremely darker, well not to dark, still has some pink :D

Rick, I found the thread and post you asked me about last night and we both forgot to write it down; so were ya go :D

I'm hoping you yet an email notification or see it on the home screen lol

lol not a problem. i was in class and didn't feel like paying attention soooo i found it for ya.

I get the Aquavitro from Tim (keen reef).. Tech I, i only get from Blue Planet cause they are close to me and the only ones i have seen carry it.

dude that was fast.

you must be in the spare bedroom or
something and heard me talking
as i typed. lol

haha yea, i was relaxing after a water change on both my tanks and checking on some downloads and popped up an email so i thought i answered... and the fact i read your mind before you typed it :P
