zoa question

Thought it might o been florecents. My ppe I got from Andyman was shrivled n about dead n my pc tank. So I moved it up to my frag rack n another tank under my radium 20k mh. About 4 inches from the surface. Within 12 hrs it opend back. What it was is that my 50/50 pc bulb needed to b replaced. I changed it out to a new 10k put it back n it's doing great

Well at least I know you were paying attention all those 100 times I told you that!

Gotta start with the numbers, always, no matter what the problem. Even if the numbers are perfect, it can rule water quality *out* of the equation as well as in, if they aren't good.

nudi branches. i cant find my post on it or i would post up the link here.
maybe cause im not a member i dont have that option.

ok so explain how the dip thing works please. ive never done that. will the dip kill the nudi as well?

Those snails without shells are probably Stomatellas. They are awesome CUC's. They won't hurt your zoas. And they do have shells they are just hard to see.

Do you have ATO? My zoas do much better when I'm topping off constantly.

I would definitely do a dip though. Also try to blow them off every day with a turkey baster.

ok so its gonna be later this evening before i get my numbers.
my personal tester is off to krogers to get the shopping done for thanksgiving.

my flow has changed a bit, i wonder if that can be a issue also?

Well I know how to grow Zoas like a maniac. So we can grow the lost 1's back n a month or 2 tops. What do u feed your Zoas?

i have some 2 part photoplankton stuff keen was selling. im not sure i like it honestly. i saw no results. not that its a bad product, just didnt work for me. what should i feed and how often?

Well mainly it's like smaller headed short stalked Zoas that are ment for the waters edge in the wild that would have wild currents. Like the Zoas with heads around 1/16 an inch wide. Mainly because getting food smaller then that and holding your hand stable enough long enough for it to close around it is nearly immposible

ok so what about the small polyp zoas, how/what do they eat?

blu_devl_06;584533 wrote: I fed all of them the same....even the "smaller" ones. a lot of the frozen foods have stuff like oyster eggs, cyclopeeze etc, that they will feed on as well, I forget all the ingredients of all the foods, but they all got some

i heard a lot of good stuff about the cyclopeeze. it didnt seem to do anything for them either. i do know my beagle dog loved the stuff. he got my last 3/4 can and ate it all. he pooed red for a week.

Here an easy way to find out what feeds. Touch 1 if it closes up it's head like it's trying to eat u. U can tickle it with food and it will eat. If u touch it and it just recesses it doesn't close up. It doest have a bunch of sticky tenticals to work food to it's mouth. For smaller heads just mix the rods veggie with enriched baby brine. They will love it. But IMO if there not holding the food it's a waste o time. There's always alot of rods juice they can feed on.
