I have a watermelon colony that has been in my tank for a year and has been healthy the whole time except for now. In the past year it has grown from the plug to the rocks at a rate of at least 3-4 polyps per week. On the plug some of the polyps have stayed closed and the closed polyps are turning white. At first I would guess bleaching but all the polyps on the top of plug are fine. The only thing that gets near then is a baby serpent has taken home behind polyps in rock on plug. My water params are good. Alk-8.2 salin-1.024 calc- 425 mag- 1325. I am running 75 watt halide on a 14 gallon nano cube. The only thing I have done to my tank was add a hawkins blue mini colony on other side of tank and removed a clam. Any input would b greatly appreciated. Oh yeah there are not white spots or zoa nudis. I do have some asterinas but have not seen them near the zoas. I have other zoas in tank that are doing well.
