zoas on the sand bed?

i've got frags of zoas currently sitting on the sand bed, will they be ok to grow out there, or do they need to placed on a bigger rock on the sand to grow onto?

I've got some that actually grew into a mat and attached themselves to whatever sand was under them. Made them VERY easy to frag too!

+1 on easy to frag. I let mine grow across the sand bed too. When it's time to cut back or give somebody a frag all you have to do is cut some off. No dealing with attachment to rocks :thumbs:
