1,000 gallon all in one build

I've been thinking how nice it be to have for my arcylic projects, I've seen some used units for around $3000.

Hey Grouper!

Looking spectacular so far!

I specialize in industrial processes (automation, heating, cooling, etc.) and would be happy to help out. I am a rep for a bunch of products but those you would be interested in would be primarily Chromalox and Process Technologies. When I build my shark and ray pond in the backyard greenhouse I will be using something similar to Enders linked threads. The only major modification I have in mind is the heat exchanger. I get ridiculously low prices on my stuff and basically get to play with top notch industrial grade equipment at cost. Look at Process Technologies' website and take a gander at the titanium heat exchangers. I can help you with the engineering and thermodynamic calculations if you like. I'll give you the best pricing I can.

PEX is great in theory, but a pinhole in the exchanger would be devestating. That, and god knows you have to use enough of it to get minimal heat transfer. Give me a call if you like (205) 408-5868. Luke

Checked the site out very nice. I will definitely take you up on the offer when that time arrives. Thank you!

I comes with it's own software. That's good and bad. It's pretty flexible and easy to use, but you can't use industry standard software tools directly. There are ways to import files created by other tools but it's not as straightforward as I'd like...

cnc took it's place for a while

That website aroused me...

Definitely post a separate thread on the CNC build dude...I could never afford to build one (and not to mention I don't have the room) but I'm nerdy enough to want to follow along on the build!

Will do .I think it will be fun to build and definitely to use.

Wow, I just hope that one day I will be able to have a tank like that. The thought of taking on such a big project would scare me lol

update pictures on the 1,000 gal setup... ?

(well.. post progress on the CNCs if you dont have any of the tank yet)
