I ran a similar post a year ago. At that time my plans were to upgrade my 90g tank to a 180-210. Life kinda gets in the way of plans! Plans haven't changed... just delayed. All the hardware is stock piled and the custom stand is built. All I need is the tank... which will need to wait until this unemployment thing is over with.

So... what are you planning to do reef wise in 2011?

Are you going bigger? Down sizing? Changing equipment? Looking for that special fish or coral?

Where do you see your system a year from now?

Here's the link to last year's post incase you responded and want to do a year end review!

Finish establishing my upgrade from 72 to 150, maintain all the remaining corals from the previous crash and looking for a few nice pieces of equipment such as a few mp40's and a new lighting set up for my frag tank.

I need to totally redo my 210 display. I have too many very large corals that need to be thinned out and some GSP and encrusting gorgonia I need to douse in gasoline and light on fire. I keep putting it off because I know it is going to be a tremendous pain and the tank looks pretty good the way it is... It has to be done for the long term health of the tank...

My plans are always bigger than my wallet. I am hoping (depending on how tax time goes) once ive moved into my new house to setup a fish room get my frag tank back going again

I am thinking of upgrading from my 24g aquapod to a 37-60g rimless cube

and if im lucky I will be adding at least a 75g+ display for my main tank that will go in the living room. and maybe even a 5.5g nano for my desktop

The 125 should hopefully be up and running by new years.

The 75 is due for one last (hopefully) move about 20ft from where it stands. At that ompoint, I plan to add more live rock and create a bunch of caves and bridges.

I have a 150g, 40 breeder, and 55g in my basement that are sitting empty after my move. I have to get them all up and running. SOON! The only tanks I currently have operational are the ones in my classroom.

Anyone want to help move a tank? :D

I want to finally break down and get a nice controller unit so that I can join the current century. :)

get more efficient...

I'll probably be looking into changing out my current lighting with LED fixtures/retros...

I'll also be adding my calcium reactor to the reef tank (I've literally had it over a year and it's been sitting in the garage)

I'll build a stand for the 30L in the kitchen and possibly add a controller to it..

I may get some of these done this year, here's the list:
transfer the RSM livestock to the 135
more automation
make water changes easier
set up controller
upgrade from 135 to a 180

No changes planned, but if I were to do something it would be to design, build & cut over to my new grand plan of a SumpUgiumFrag Tank...

I will upgrade from 70g to 200g. Everything is ready except the custom furniture. I'd probably need a bigger custom sump for big tank

Sounds interesting... details!

Right now I have a sump/fuge combo. I figure that if I design it right I could incorporate a frag tank into it as well. Something in the neighborhood of 36" long, 24" wide & 10-12" deep, divided up for a frag area, fuge area, ato, skimmer, etc. Shouldn't be that tough, just figuring out layout & location of what.

Exactly what I wanna do. Only on a smaller scale.

cool... document EVERYTHING!!

I HEART BUILD THREADS!!!

I plan on trying to keep it going, maybe add some have to have corals and a few more fish....but nothing major. As long as I avoid having to sell it all off then Ill be in good shape

Well thanks to a very very good friend I got hooked up with a pretty sweet deal on a 75g rr tank and stand today local to me and was able to pick up. Appreciate it buddy thats one less goal I have for 2011

I have no idea what is in store for 2011! I may end up taking down the tank this summer, who knows. But until then I'm going to enjoy and expand my system like I'd planned to do in 2010.
