24 Gal Cube SPS nano reef tank

Test result at 6am. Nitrate is going back to where it was. I will let this number run up until I come back and adjust accordingly.

Phosphate test result at 6am. Trying to maintain this arrange for now. Will adjust accordingly when returned

Sow a female clownfish mingled with anemone in dark. Anemone is still small but I’m glad one is hosting them.

For future references. I really need to get something to clean the sandbed

And cyano is back but very small patches. (Photo as of now).

I had to make sure that the what looks like to be red color covering the live rock is normal and is not a cyano.

Asked wife to send me a snaps of the tank…. Everything seems to be doing well :). Nothing died. And no cyano?! :)

I’ve taken out some duplicate corals and added about 13 new nubs of SPS corals.

I’ve taken out two of largest colony (tricolor tort and pearlberry) from the SPS tank to make more even of corals to grow.

I have added sea hare for cleaning sanded. I Havnt seen him in few days.

Still have cyano bacteria in the tank. Not doing anything since it’s not too bad. Comes on when lights are on.

Just recalibrate pH probe using the display module due to it showing at 9.0 after calibrating using apex local two days or so ago x.x

After using local instead of fusion after hearing that it may work better or accurate. It didnt work for me over the days.

Today after calibrating

Alkatronic measure of pH is not accurate but I do think the dkh is in proper range after calibrating again. Lots of calibration lately -.-;

LPS tank is doing well. Plate coral is pregnant lol. x.x

Over the weekend, I moved the 48G tank closer to the window. I’ve added two more drawers to the system. The tank was initially setup near the window then I moved it in closer when I had to do the base adjustments. Idk. The tank will be moved once again next year when painting the walls.

As for the tanks, they are doing well. SPS tank

nitrate is around 20,

IMG_5642.jpeg

phosphate around 0.16,

IMG_5641.jpeg

magnesium 1455,

IMG_5638.jpeg

calcium 462,

IMG_5639.jpeg

alkalinity 8.2.

-I had to replace rollermat-500 motor.
-Took out co2 scrubbers from both tank.
-Dc skimmer is on SPS tank only.
-2nd skimmer will be cleaned and put into smaller LPs tank
-Kalk is dosed only at night but double to cover for the daytime evaporation
-Made adjustment to light setting and flow setting. Which upset some corals. Loosing colors over the month. Messing with light when all things are going well was a mistake.
I had white upto 50% which I think was the problem when t5 is also on for 10hrs. I did take all other colors out of both tanks other than uv and blues.
-Flow was changed from 30mins forward/30mins reverse wave pattern to just random flow with some custom setup.
-I like to get my nitrate back under 10.
-I added Santa Monica scrubber back online few days ago.

-LPS tank has no powerhead and it’s doing well.
