I was planning on using this tank my neighbor gave me for my sump but found a tag on it today that says don't put water in it. The glass seems really thin but i figured it would be ok after I put the baffles in to re-enforce it.

What do you guys think?

If they're cautioning against water, there's probably a really good reason for it... not trying to sound like a smart-a**... but I'd look for another tank for a sump.

I took a free "tank" and ended up with the same thing... the silicone seams were actually very good but the glass is too thin. IMO (and take this for what I charge for it) it would be OK with glass baffles siliconed in and a relatively low sump level.

That said, I sold it for $20 and went another direction... so that would be my "do as I do" advice. :)

Since I'm in such a hurry on getting my tank set-up.... I want to do things right the first time so I'll prolly get rid of it and find another 40 breeder.

Let me know if anyone either has one up for sale or is in the market for a 40 gallon reptile tank.

40B's are CHEAP. Cleaning up 30Gallons of saltwater from literally ANY floor is not...
