I am going to move over my pair of maroon clowns then my coral beauty whos in QT right now waiting. Once I pull all my other tanks rock work, I'll add my watchman and pistol. I will probably trade in my bar goby for something different..not sure what yet but something real nice.

Your right...it should be nice to meet some of the reefers as well as having a good time. If all goes well, I look forward to being there. :up:

Not bad for a first time pic poster! You must've gotten the shortened version of the instruction manual!

Your right, the tank is verry similar. Nice rock work. I really like the design and the mag float works sooo well instead of dealing with the curved glass like on my other tank.

I checked my levels today and my ammonia is at about .20 (dropping like a lead weight), my NO3's...15 and my NO2's...0. I'm only a couple days away from stocking!

Thanks for the compliments. I like the look of your aquascaping a lot better. I am always debating that look or like I have it now, stacked in the corners. What fish are you planning to add besides the ones you already have?

Thanks for the comments. What a weekend. I took Friday off to start working on transferring the old tank over and thought it would be done in two days. Boy, was I ever wrong!! All fish are in and 95% of the corals have been moved. The rest are on large pieces of live rock I need to break apart in order to move the corals into the new setup. Fish are very happy but my watchman lost sight of his pistol buddy and is still searching for him. Hopefully they will be back together soon. He looks heartbroken! As for the corals, they have all acclimated nicely. I was a bit surprised how well it really did go.

I purhased a beautiful male Lyretail Anthias this past weekend and will be adding him as soon as QT is done. I also added an Orange Cyclose and a Squamosa Clam. They are doing fantastic. I still have plans to add either a Fairy Wrasse or 6 Line..not sure which one yet.

I hope to get some pics up soon but I am beat right now. this has been a fun project though and I would do it again! :yes:

I'm still working with the camera to get better pics. First ones turned out too blue, the next too green. I am getting it dialed in though...slowly. Anyway, just to show how the build has come along. Everybody seems pretty happy and pars are good. Coraline already growing on rocks and back of glass.

What lights are you using?

I am using T5's. Giesemann Aquablue+ and Actinic+. It does not look real blue but it accents everything well.

I have been contemplating if I can house a clam safely. I thought you were using T5s, but I couldnt remember. How is yours doing under that light, and was he in the setup before you moved it to the 40g?

You should have no problem with keeping a clam under T5's. Mine displays full mantle everday and seems very happy..even when I have to reposition him..he normally stays mostly open. A Squamosa is a bit more tolerant to raise under lower light than some of the crocea's, etc but to my knowledge, they can go under T5's as well.
