Let the cycle begin. Sand ,water,heater,pump, fuge is lit ,bacteria in . It goes total black out tomorrow for 30 days.

The floating rocks in the middle turned out just the way I wanted .

Watching seaweed grow is where I'm at right now in life . I did add some well seeded chunks of rock and some xport cubes from my existing fuge to the new one . Also added a few scoops of sand from tank to tank . Already seeing pods on the walls of the fuge .

I've cycled a bunch of tanks and always have the uglies and random outbreaks . Hoping this may curb some of that . The macro in my fuge is growing like crazy , I'm ghost feeding daily. Everything seems to be working out so far.

That's a huge ball of chaeto macro aglae . I'm cycling with a different method then you did but yes if you have algae growing where you don't want it I'd definitely get some going .
