My 120 has been running for 6 weeks. Exactly one week ago I added the CUC and put Chaeto in the sump. That is the same time when I started running the lights.

Today I noticed what looks to be blades of grass growing on the front glass and the sides. I don't see any on my LR or sand. My parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate, 8.3 pH, 80F and 1.025.

Anyone know what this is?

Given the age of the tank and the introduction of the lights, it sounds like your tank is going through the standard algae cycle. New tanks will typically get a bloom of green, brown, and red algae in the first few months.

The snails/ clean up crew should handle it.

Thanks for the feedback. I had started to worry because I had seen photos of bryopsis and this looked kind of like that.

+1 on age of tank and CUC.
Ive got bryopsis now and its growing on my back glass the worst! Doing a major water change in the AM and starting treatment with Kent TechM. Fingers crossed!
