Aside from Chaeto, who puts other algaes in their fuge and why? Does it help more than Chaeto?

Thanks

I've got Chaeto and Red Gracilaria or tang heaven for both nutrient export and food for my tang. I believe these live macros have much more nutritional benefits than nori and things a like.

I actually took the chaeto out of mine to try to grow more algae in the main tank. My yellow tang eats anything as soon as it grows (especially green hair algae).

Caulerpa. Fast growing, healthy, easy and you can even make a few bucks per ziplock off of it when you thin it out.

I use both Chaeto and Caulerpa. Prefer Caulerpa though, as it grows like a weed for me.

What kind of lighting do you all have in your fuge? I have caulerpa, mangroves, and chaeto in mine..... Pods love it....

I have just a clip on light with a 5k spiral bulb, both my chaeto and gracilaria grow like crazy.
