Not to beat a dead horse, Tracy, but I can tell you that these folks here are good folks who have a passion and live for this hobby... which means they have a passion for people as well. They reach out to everyone and are very open and generous with their advice.
They are loving enough to even give the right and needed advice, whether the recipient likes it or not, and that is a mark of a club whose memers truly give a shinola aqbout what they do, as opposed to one of those clubs that's just a social experience.
I have been active here for a couple months (ever since I opened up my tank, really), haven't joined the club yet (fixin' to be rectified), and I have never felt that it has been held against me at all.
There are some things that are club things, and if I wanna be in on the club things, I should join the club! If nothing else, it woulda saved me a heckuva lot of money already. I kinda see it as if I'm getting this much benefit from an organization, why wouldn't I support it and help it run?
