those reddish brown marks are most likely due to stress caused by it's confined quarters.

Dawg..how do you know how big my tang is???? And as you should know...size of tanks do not stunt grow...a fish will grow what a fish will grow to..or else we could keep sharks in our tanks....you buy a baby nurse shark that fit in your 125.....the 125 will not limit it's size.....it will grow to be 10 feet......of course it couldn't turn around......

so where did you hear that? another old wives tale of fish keeping...

oh wait.....take a look at the top of the page...:) I think you can see my yellow tang.....Thats my tank picture that adorns this wonderful site

So by the power of deduction I can conclude that your tang is not up to full size. Maybe malnourishment has stunted its growth. Who knows. You can get on your I can have a tang in a 24g everytime this comes up but its pretty absurd. We try to teach responsible reef keeping and telling new members that its acceptable to have a fish like that in a 24g is irresponsible.

+2

I disagree so what.....welcome to the forums..

And your powers of deduction and reasoning are seriously skewed. How bout come take a look for yourself..If you are so worried about my tang..

And irresponsible? Don't even go there cause you again have NO knowledge or even seen my tank...I am so tired of everyone here bashing the sh-t out of a person that has questions...and the standard answers are always the same from you guys...reefkeeping is a science and experimentation....what may not work for you or your inability to maintain, could be quite easy and reasonable for someone else...

Here how about giving yourselves +100, like that sh-t really matters...

LMAO

Wow! Lay off the coffee or take some meds. I am not worried about your tank. You've been sound long enough to take care of your fish. However, these guys & gals that r starting out need some good, consistent, proven methods to start, so that they have a chance. If u want to put a hammerhead shark in a 10 gallon tank, so be it; just don't tell other people that don't have the skills to realize how naive that might be.

I have taken all meds this am..however, I will not give up my coffee!

Do this.....go back and READ what all of you have written....look at it..look at the tone...and the we are better than you you idiot inflections...

that's what pisses me off....and for a person to call ME irresponsible....that's not right....if you can not give advice without being JUDGMENTAL, don't give it....cause that person really doesn't want to hear it from you to begin with....they are looking for help....and reefkeeping theories are just that, THEORIES!! just cause you say it is so, doesn't mean I think it's so....every tank is different and run different. that's what is great about reefkeeping..DISCOVERY and new ideas.

and Tangs can live in a 25G

This sums it up the best. A lot of incompatibilities and inconsistencies can be proven/misproven by the experienced aquarist. BUT the inexperienced/beginer needs to be shown the proven and easy route; this will not only limit the mortality rate they encounter, but also keep their interest in the hobby.

Todd-you've been in the game long enough to do whatever it takes to keep a fish healthy. Although I strongly disagree with your tang's residence, if you have somehow made him happy and keep him health, then more power to you.

And don't give up coffee...coffee is good! mmmmmm. I might reccomend some methylene blue to go with the coffee for you though

Thanks you I never would have known that if you did not post it...Kool-aid is in the kitchen on the shelf...

As for being wrong...I am ALOT...and admit it all the time when I am. I am just not wrong on this one this topic....How bout you? ever admit it?.....

and why does everyone have to bring up my club? It has NO bearing whatsoever here....You haven't even been there so again you have no idea what you are talking about...

Man....as for liking the club.....I was at the picnic yesterday, I help at MACNA, Saltwater U, get donations, MAKE donations....what the hell do you do? I think I like the club a bit more than you...have not seen you there...

So again...another comment made without knowledge.

let's not go to rants please! The question has been answered. It's done!
