For what it's worth, many years ago a club member (Rick O) did an experiment.. he had 2 similar frag tanks, had a fish in one, no fish in the other. The frags grew better in the tank with the fish. Could be more food, more fish poop, maybe even the flow generated by the fish swimming around - who knows? (It wasn't a scientific experiment per se)... but for whatever reason, things did better when there was a fish present.
