Anyone ever had a damsel only tank before.

Decided to make my tank just Damsels. Which on after reading up on them talking to LFS etc.. it was decided 4 sets of 4 would be ok for the tank size. 1st 2 sets went fine.

Golden Scribble went in 1st.
then Dusky's.

Everything was fine on that front.

today (well an hour ago) i added Humbugs. They are all smaller than the Dusky's and as expected there is is aggression between the duskys bullying the Humbugs.

how long would this last for??

The tank is around 60 gallon (4 foot in length)

I have a friend that tried it. 17 damsels became 4 within two weeks.

Good news is just went down and all 13 of my fish are al congregated in the middle of the tank. No chasing or anything.

Im my tank 1 have 1 big rock structure then lots of other smaller rocks so hopefully it was just the duskys saying to the newbies this is our rock find your own.

Hey. Would just like to report that all fish are still fine.

The divide is over and all 3 types of damsel are now swimming around together. Luckily i had no casualties and apart from 1 suffering about 30/40% of damage to tail to do fin nipping all are well.

I had 10 damsels in my 210, within 3 months there was only one left..

lol there seems to be alot of horror stories regarding keeping multiple damsels fingers crossed mine turns out like this one
