I've been researching these anemones for a few days and I'm contemplating picking one up down the road. They don't seem as popular as BTA but to me are just as good looking and seem like less of a coral stinging risk than BTAs are. Just seeing if any of you guys or gals have kept them in your mixed reef.

I'm interested to hear about them also , I really like the all white with blue or purple tipped ones and i see them half the price of a bubble tip I thought perhaps its not reef safe .
Aparently several species of clowns are hosted by sebae nems

They seem to accept clowns pretty well. I've read that white still means they're bleached. They should be a tan-ish color, not white. I really like the all purple ones.

I've always been a fan. I looked into getting one a while back, but have since fogotten why I decided against it.

In my experience, they are more delicate than E. quadricolor (Bubble Tip). They tend to get much larger too (although I've seen some huge Bubble Tips).

I've never heard of one splitting in captivity.

If you're considering one for a host, make sure that the clowns you wish to keep or already have, are compatible with a Sebae Anemone (Sebae Clowns, ironically, aren't typically hosted by Sebae Anemones).

And yes, they can be wanderers. They can sting a coral as well as any other anemone, and they can get into trouble with filter intakes and powerheads.

What size tank do you have?

Everything I read about malu is they max around 10", I've seen some rbta much larger than that. Sometimes they get mixed up with crispa which do get much larger than 10".

It would go in a 90g. Since they are sand dwelling anemones I'm not too worried since I plan on having the rest of my corals mounted on rock soon.
