I have a 1/3 HP model that I'm going to hookup tomorrow, but realized that neither of the connections indicates whether it is an inlet or an outlet. Does it matter? Or is it simply a matter of having the water flow through the chiller no matter the direction?

I actually have the manual... all it references is how to insert the "inlet/outlet" into the 3/4 or 5/8 tube and secure it.

Thats what I was hoping. I've been searching google, google images, etc. for a pic of a 1/3 or the like actually setup.

Here's hoping that I get this thing setup today... and that it works!

Edit:

it is labeled in and out on mine

Its labeled?! Where?

Are both of your inlet/outlet fittings on the top of your unit? Seems there were two versions of the Prime Tower Chiller.

Best pics I could get man! As you can see mine says inlet/outlet on both sides.

Hmmm...

Thanks for posting pics!

But it looks like I have a different version...

Here is the chiller I have.

Its a pic of the 1/4 HP, I have the 1/3 HP, but the only difference is that my inlets/outlets are aranged along the back on the top. The manual is useless...

I have the same model line in a 1/10, and mine has "In" and "Out" molded into the top of the case at the base of the connections. Pic:

ok... straight up....

why does it matter?

there's no pump in the unit and the temperature ascending unit doesn't care..

I didnt THINK it mattered, but I'd rather not screw it up if I were to be wrong. I'm going with the lack of marking on the unit as an indication that it doesnt matter.
