Can anyone help me get my Apex connected to my wireless network. Here is what I have done so far.

1. Connected the Apex via Cat5 cable directly to my wireless router - everything worked fine.

2. Connected the Apex via Cat5 cable directly to my Netgear Range Extender via Cat5 cable-everything worked fine.

3. Ran cable from my range extender to my basement fishroom and Apex-now nothing.

4. Tried a different cable in case it was bad

5. Tried manually configuring the Apex network setup

In step 2, is the range extender talking wirelessly back to the router?

Yes. I also connected my desktop wirelessly through my range extender back to the router, so I know the range extender is working.

Can you just take the range extender down to the basement and connect it there to the Apex, so that it is all the same as step 2 but now in the basement?

I was going to do that next or get a really long 50'+ patch cable and start over from square one. I was wanting the range extender on the second floor, because the signal is pretty week in that corner of the basement.

How long is the cable from the range extender to the basement? Does it have a limitation on length? I'd go back to where it was working and try to go down to the basement in increments.

One of the pins in the ethernet port were bent.
