Apex question

I recently purchased a new apex. Standard version. (Orange/white) box. My question is I was wanting to get some add on such as a wxm module for my Vortechs and a pm2 with salinity probe. I've noticed that some of the modules are the black box modules. Are any compatible with the newer apex controllers?

Yes... Apex is downward comparable.

Is there any advantage to buying the newer orange/white label? Or are they the same just newer version?

I assume the newer ones work with the fussion software? Is that the difference?

I had an older black box base unit... Had a water drip in the wrong place. Replaced it a few months ago with the Orange box. I see no difference in the two. All five year old equipment (DC8, DC4, breakout box, and VDM) work just fine with the Orange box. Both black box and Orange box works with Fusion.

Only difference I can tell is the color of the box.

Yes, they are the same. It's the software that's important

No difference. I run 1 black and 1 white eb8 with a black box apex lite and white breakout box and black vdm lol
