aquavitro fuel?

Here at Seachem, we dose our tanks, including Fuel, in the mornings, a little after the lights come on. There is really not a "specific" time in which you should dose the Fuel. Hope this helps!

I started using Fuel about a month ago and notice my corals had a lot more color. It was mention earlier in this thread that it comes in a different size? Where could I the bigger bottle? I already placed an order with my lfs for 3 more bottles.

The fuel is now available in a 1L size. If your LFS carries the line, I'm sure they would be more than happy to bring in the larger sizes for you. They are really nice for bigger systems. If you could respond with your location (city, zip), I would be happy to search our system for other stores in your area that carries the line.

I love the aquavitro line. I use Fuel, 8.4, Ions and Salinity. I just started a tank with all these seachem products and so far so good. bad part is i'm already out of salt lol but that is my problem lol

We tend to use the Fuel in the evenings, about 20 or so minutes before the lights go off. That way the daytime feeders as well as the nighttime ones, can take it in.

Interesting that you ask that. I just recently spoke with a store owner who has all of his customers running strict low nutrient systems using various methods. He actually has all of them using fuel for supplementation in conjunction with this and was raving about how well it works in this type of setup. I have also spoken directly with customers who are using it in their low-nutrient systems as well. While I have not experimented with the VSV method myself, I do not think there would be any issue with using fuel in conjunction.

Not that I don't believe you....or the store owner....but is there any way for you guys to run some testing on VSV + Fuel.....I use only seachem products with the exception of VSV dosing.....and no offense to the store owner but I would trust composition chemical analysis test a bit more...

I am not sure what you mean by a "composition chemical analysis". We do provide a guaranteed analysis of fuel on our website if one is interested in this.
With regard to testing VSV + fuel, there could be potential for us take a look at this at some point. What analysis specifically would you like for us to provide?
All of these "low nutrient" methods out there have some sort of nutrient/amino acid supplement that supposedly needs to be used with them so I can't see why why fuel (a vitamin and amino acid supplement) would be questioned as an acceptable option.
At any rate, if we ever decide to set up some low-nutrient method tanks here to test with, we'll definitely take a look at this. I imagine it will be difficult to scientifically quantify the impact of nutrient supplements used on these types of systems, but it might be worth taking a look at.

what i mean by composition chemical analysis is that would any of the vitamins or amino acids be adversely affected by vodka, sugar, or vinegar....i know that you shouldnt mix the FUEL and VSV together and dose by any means.....just wondering if, even in minute quantities.....if any components in FUEL would be altered by introduction of vodka or vinegar specifically.....after all vinegar acidic...and although it would be well diluted when introduced into the tank....im just wondering if theres any chance of a loss(destruction) of amino acids or vitamins due to VSV dosing......i know it is usually included in low nutrient system that you would include a supplement....but like i said....just wondering if VSV would break any of the composition of FUEL down.....thats all really...
