Will any PH probe with a BNC connector work with ANY controller?

My gut tells me YES, but some of the things Ive discovered about this hobby are counter-intuitive..

Yes - they're almost all interchangeable. A pH probe works similar to a battery, but takes some fancy electronics to be able to read the minute amount of energy it creates. Some are more accurate or more durable over time, but the concept is the same.

The one you linked is probably fine. I've used $20 probes and $60 probes - they're all the same. Just make sure you calibrate whatever you get.

OK, ANOTHER QUESTION....

Will a temperature probe for an aquarium work outside of a tank?
If I were to mount one in the base cabinet, would it be accurate? (it's monitored by an Apex Controller)

I don't see why in the world it wouldn't work... it doesn't rely on a water / air interface, so it should be just fine, IMO.

I wouldn't think that there would be an issue, I just didn't know whether anyone had actually used it for that purpose or not..
