Arrow crabs for bristle worm contro.

How many fish do you want to lose?

What size tank is it?

If you have too many bristleworms, you are likely over-feeding. My suggestion would be to solve the source of the problem and the rest will take care of itself.

I've watched arrow crabs grab fish right out of the water column. Yes they are reputed to eat the worms too, but it's not a gamble I'd recommend.

Orchid dottyback and some wrasses will eat the excess worm population too - but again, if the source of the problem isn't addressed, you're just spinning your wheels.

OK, feeding less and nix on the arrow crabs. I already have a wrasse, had him before the worms appeared...no help there....and same with my coral banded shrimp. I guess when the lights are out, I will not look at the tank. Thanks, Bubba

Maybe just a fleet of bristle worm traps, and keep using them til you see a difference.

I already have 4 traps but you have to be close while using them because the big worms get stuck but the smaller ones just turn around and leave. I like to watch them and as soon as I get a big haul I take them out. My problem recently is that I received 2nd degree burns on the top of my right hand when it hit the MH light. I have to keep this out of the water for 14 days......my new long gloves just arrived from Foster and Smith last evening and tonight I will resume my trapping. Thanks, Bubba:yay:

ive never seen a bristle worm trap.. or much of a bristle worm for that matter. I think it would be interesting for you to film or take picks of a full trap. lol.
