I have a pair of Bangaii Cardinal fish that have obviously begun spawning.  I noticed a baby swimming around but now it's gone.  On the next batch if I catch these and put them in my refugium what are the odds they survive?  I'm not into raising any live food for them to eat.

Without food they will die rather quickly. Your best just to leave them be in the main system. The fry will most likely be eaten by the other tank inhabitants in a short time. If you're not going put the pair in a isolated tank after breeding but before the eggs hatch in the male's mouth and feeding the female in there at the same time. Then after hatching feeding the fry fresh baby brine shrimp, multiples time a day, they will stand no chance.

There are lots of articles out there on breeding Cardinals. It's a bit of work but most LFS will give you store credit for healthy juveniles. Mine breed all the time but the male never holds them to term. He ends up eating the eggs himself after a couple weeks.
