Best Coral Dip

Is the Bayer Insect Killer you guys are talking about the stuff you can buy at Lowe's? I've never heard of using it as a coral dip.

Yes it is. I'd never heard of it either and did a little research. Looks like you mix 4ml of the Bayer in 1 cup water and let the coral sit for about 10-15 minutes then rinse with fresh saltwater and place in tank. Sounds pretty easy.

I use revive for everything but acro's. I use Bayer for all sps because it's the only thing that kills acro eating flatworms. I even use it on smooth skin acros, just not as long. I use 20ml of Bayer to 1 liter of tank water.

I will be using Bayer for my tank. It has been proven to work to treat AEFW, and AEFW is the only thing I fear at this point. Red Bugs are a joke... you can treat those in tank with little effect (unless you have shrimp/crabs).

PolypLab has a newer coral dip on the market. Haven't used it myself however.

I have. I can't comment because I haven't done a side by side comparison.

Yeah it has already been out for a good bit and you don't really hear anyone talking about it at all. It's from a very reputable brand as well. I wasn't sure if that is because the coral dip market is already pretty much covered with CoralRX/Revive/Bayer or if it's because it just isn't a great product.

I'll be calling you today/tomorrow Hui as soon as I can sit down with owners and go over what they got for me on those quotes. Not sure if they will make it in today as they got in really late last night.

I think most people are skeptical to try new coral dips in fear that it won't work and leave behind pests.
